Swimming information term time Starting Blocks Swim School

At Starting Blocks Swim school we pride ourselves on keeping the groups small and where possible providing helper support in the water. The children are encouraged to learn by having “fun” while at the same time the lessons will educate them towards more formal classes as they climb the ability scale. We have produced quite a few very successful swimmers, one of whom was selected by British Swimming to compete with the British team at the 2008 Olympic Games he learnt to swim with us from the age of 4, two of his teachers are still with us. Richard is currently training in LA and hoping to compete for GB in the 2012 Olympic games.

Swimming courses are available after school on Tuesday Wednesday & Thursday each week during term time. We normally start the courses the week after they begin at school to allow the younger ones to settle into a routine. Courses are set out as follows:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Autumn Course 2011 (11weeks)

                                  Date to commence Tu/Wed/Th 13/14/15th  September 11              

                                  Date to complete Tu/Th 6/7/8th December 11

                                  *Extra week of swimming on Thursday, we finish on 15th Dec

                                  Exceptions  26/27/28th October 10  (Half term)            

 

Spring Course 2012 (11 weeks)

                                  Date to commence Tu/Wed/Th 10/11/12 January 2012   

                                  Date to complete Tu/Wed/Th 27/28/29 March 2012

                                  Exceptions  14/15/16th February 2012  (Half term)      

Cost of this course is £76 plus a one off booking fee of  £16                            

 

Summer Course 2011 (11 weeks)

                                  Date to commence Tu/Wed/Th 24/25/26th April 2012      

                                  Date to complete Tu/Wed/Th 10/11/12th July 2012

                                  Exceptions  5/6/7th June 2012  (Half term)    

                                 

Adult improvers can be accommodated when spaces allow at both venues, call or email for details
